Gennady Litvin, Esq., earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. While attending law school, attorney Gennady Litvin was a member of the University of Miami Business Law Review (UMBLR), which is now offering members online educational symposia.
UMBLR helps members publish articles by students, faculty, judges, and practitioners, which are put through a stringent student-directed editorial process that enhances the writing. Membership is for second- and third-year students with a minimum 3.0-grade point average. By serving on the editorial board, members receive editorial training, as well as help in producing an original work for professional publication.
The online symposia offered by UMBLR encourage students, educators, and professionals to discuss current legal issues in an academic setting. So far, three symposia have welcomed members and professionals who discussed current and past legal cases, from tax law to possible violations of amendments to the US Constitution. An upcoming online symposium will focus on Ohio v. American Express Co. (2018), which deals with laws relating to competition.
